Just today, we started a thing that the whole school would do. Our teachers asked us to not bring your jump ropes, hula hoops, or anything for outside because the teachers said they would bring their own things and we would play with that. It's because lots of kids were left out. Just today we started it and there are bins that you can take stuff from. Today I played with a hula hoop and another time I played on the bars.
I am reading a book called "Socks" by Beverly Cleary. It's about a cat that used to get lots of attention then the owner had a baby so they paid more attention to the baby. Socks got lonely for most of the time. Their Nana did not like the cat so she tried to convince them to get rid of the cat. Then they thought Socks did something bad because her Nana said. So they put Socks outside and he had a fight with another older black cat. So when he came in, their owners were very sad and they finally paid more attention to Socks again for at least an hour.

Today is St. Patrick's Day. For breakfast, we had green milk and green frosting on our cinnamon rolls. Orange Cinnamon rolls are my favorite. We added food color to the orange frosting so it's still my favorite. Nobody at my school got pinched because our uniforms are green. There was a Book Fair at school. You could get books, glow-in-the dark markers, pens, pencils, smelly highlighters, a whole pack of Magic Treehouse Books and A-Z Mysteries which are my favorite books.
I just started reading "Tabby in the Tub" by Ben M. Baglio. Even though it sounds like there's a tub in it, I haven't read about it yet. It's kind of a caring book.
I had achivment days and the young women came in. we played a game called "do you love your neighbor"what you would do is you would make a circle then someone has to stay in the middle and then the person in the middle has to go up to someone and say"do you love your neighbor" if they don`t then he/she has to say "but,I do love people that have blue eyes or anything else. and people with blue eyes have to run to a different seat. and the person that was in the middle has to try and sit down before all the seats are taken. Then the last person not to have a chair is in the middle. Then it goes on forever

Abraham and Lot
We just got our report cards. I got straight A's and perfect attendance awards. I was shy standing in front of everyone.
Today it is raining a lot! In the morning, the streets were flooded up to about 2 feet deep. We were glad we were in our tall van. Later on, we had more rain that wasn't too bad but it started thundering really loud.
Today at church, I learned about Abraham and Lot. They wanted to be together because they were best brothers maybe cousins but there was not enough room so they had to move away from each other.
Lot had went to a city called Sodom. And years later, he got married and that time the city had gotten wickeder. Abraham knew it so he told Heavenly Father that if he could get Lot over to his city, then he would do something for Him. So he did. He told Lot and his family to go where Abraham was but to not look back. So Lot and his family went over to Abraham's house but while they were walking, Lot's wife missed being in Sodom so she looked back. She turned into a pillar of salt.
What this taught me was that I should not look back and want the things that are bad and look forward to the things that are good.

Valentines Weekend
Yesterday me and my family went to a parade called Silver Spur Rodeo. I counted 83 horses, 2 camels, and 7 dogs. One of them was pushing around a ball. I thought the dogs were cute. I counted 5 bands. One was from the Gila Ridge high school,and one was from Kofa high school. When I am older, I want to play the clarinet because it sounds beautiful.
My family thought that the people from the Quechan indian tribe were very funny. We think it is funny beacause people spray painted there belly`s then did a war dance.
When my dad was gone for a whole week, we moved furniture around. Now I have my own room. The crib was moved into the other room so now Josh and Darren share a room. I am glad because every night when my brother is crying, he's in a different room. When he was in my room, he would cry and it was hard to go to sleep.
A few days ago, we had the Valentine Box competition. I won 2nd place for my Valentine Factory. I was surprised and all day my tummy hurt because I was so scared that it wouldn't win. When Mrs. Sevier announced that Nicholas and Nikki won 2nd place, I smiled and just shyly walked to the front of the room. Nicholas made a box that looked like a shark. It's mouth opened to eat the valentines. Olivia and Gonzalo won 1st place. Gonzalo's was a robot. Olivia's had a heart on top and a box on bottom. There were circles on the heart that lit up. If you pressed a button, it would sing. And it had "Happy Valentines" written on it.

Our new van
We just got a new van yesterday. It is white on the outside and very big inside. It has 12 seat belts. There are lights for each seat. It has a lot of air conditioner vents. It has a lot of leg room and my mom suggested that Jay have the back bench, I get the middle bench, and the 3 little boys sit on the first bench. I like that idea! Between my mom and dad's seat is a BIG space to put stuff. It's a great camping thing and a good trip car. I LOVE THIS CAR!
Today in my primary class we learned that some things stay the same forever and some things change. Like a piece of bread gets moldy. But the gospel will stay. Sister Martin is my teacher. She is very fun. She is actually a grandma with white or gray hair. She has purple glasses. She wears green eyeshadow and she is always in warm clothes because in my classroom it is always freezing. I love our classroom and I love our teacher.
Yesterday, my dad helped me build a building with a flag on the very top. It is for the contest at school for the best Valentine's box. My mom printed lots of faces for me to glue on as windows. I will take a picture when it is done. It is gray and under it is grass. I think it's a good idea!

I have been reading Harry Potter, Charlotte's Web, and lots of Magic Treehouse books. I got another Magic Treehouse book from the library today. I like to read.
It is almost Valentine's Day. We are having a competition at school to see who decorates the best Valentine's box. It is only 2nd grade that is having the competition. I think I'm going to make a building with windows that open and have pictures inside of people doing stuff. I am very excited for it.
Last night I went to Achievment Days and we decorated bottles of hand sanitizer. Mine has frogs and flowers on it with ribbons around the top. The bottle is orange. What we do is we take off the sticker and get off as much stuff as you can. Then put vinegar on it and start scrubbing it. Then you make sure that it's all dry. Then put peanut butter on it and rub the bottle really fast and all the stickiness comes off. Then you wash it off and your hands too. Then you dry it off, put stickers on it and ribbons around the top if you want. Then the bottle is all ready.
We decorated our living room and it's better than last time. It now has the piano in it and we bought a new computer desk. I want to decorate my room like a teacher room. I would put a map above my bed, a big desk in the corner with lots of papers, and a nice comfy chair. I want my brothers out of my room including the crib. My mom and I are talking about ideas. My favorite color is blue.

Lots about me
I am going to start piano lessons in February. I have already practiced at home so I am ready. I can find middle C and my mom is teaching me how to play scales. Briauna Stuart is going to be my teacher.
I do Achievment Days. In my Achievment Day class, there is Megan, Cortlyn, Keira, Emma, Rilee, and Ryann. My teachers are Sister Lines and Sister Moench. It is really fun. We make crafts. One craft we made was decorating a little plastic stand for post-it notes. A very cute post-it note holder!
I am in second grade. My teacher is Mrs. Sevier. I like that she gives you extra time. I like to read once I am finished. Lots of people have been leaving our school. Our principal quit because her husband is sick. A second-grade teacher died from cancer. Her name was Mrs. Neketin. A third-grade teacher quit because she is the principal's daughter and her dad is sick. People in the military are moving now. My friend Rosemary is going to be leaving too, but they might stay in the U.S. Her family was going to move to the Middle East.
Rosemary likes princesses; so does her whole family. Her birthday is next Sunday (Jan 31). I want to get her a Webkinz animal so that we can play together wherever she moves.
My favorite toys are my Webkinz. I have 2 cats, 2 frogs, and 2 bulldogs. There names are Midnight and Rosetta, Zippy and Christina, and Copper and Charlie. In Webkinz World, you play games to earn money to buy food and stuff for your animals. They wear clothes. You have to play with them, feed them, and love them. You have to check their happy levels, their love levels, and their food levels. If they drop too low than they can die, but that doesn't usually happen. It usually only happens if you forget to put them to bed before you leave Webkinz World and then if you don't get to play with them for about a few months.
For home evening on Monday, we got these mood rings that say 'My Eternal Family' on them. Usually if you get scared, they will turn a different color which is grayish pink. When they're warm, it turns blue. When you're hot it turns purple. If it is super cold then it will turn black. Green is just a little cold. The lesson was about the Plan of Salvation. All I heard was paradise, glory, prison, and judgement. And there was Celestial Kingdom, Telestial Kingdom, and Terrestrial Kingdom. My mom drew a picture of the plan. And if you were to look at it, it looks like a circle.
